Job Title: Junior Informatica Platform Administrator Work Location: Remote, 40 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Travel to Springfield, IL as needed. Position Overview We are seeking a Junior Informatica Platform Administrator to support the administration, maintenance, and operational stability of enterprise Informatica environments. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Informatica PowerCenter platforms, assisting with ETL operations, platform monitoring, workflow support, and environment maintenance across development, test, and production environments. This role will work closely with database administrators, infrastructure teams, middleware engineers, application developers, and business stakeholders to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of enterprise data integration platforms while adhering to organizational security, compliance, and change management standards.

Key Responsibilities Support the administration, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise Informatica PowerCenter environments. Assist with installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and environment management across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. Monitor Informatica repositories, domains, integration services, workflows, and ETL processes to ensure platform availability and operational stability. Support workflow execution, job scheduling, troubleshooting, restart activities, and production issue resolution. Assist in identifying, documenting, and resolving platform incidents while participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Monitor platform performance and collaborate with technical teams to optimize ETL processing efficiency and system reliability. Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and platform maintenance activities. Assist with database connectivity, data source configuration, file transfer processes, and enterprise system integrations. Create and maintain operational documentation including runbooks, support procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation. Collaborate with database, infrastructure, middleware, networking, security, and application support teams to resolve cross-platform issues. Participate in production deployments, change management, release validation, and environment support activities. Assist with security administration, user access management, compliance activities, and audit support. Follow established ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and release management. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability, operational efficiency, and automation. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 2 years of experience supporting and administering Informatica platforms in enterprise environments. Experience working within enterprise production support and operational environments. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Minimum 2 years of experience supporting and administering Informatica PowerCenter in enterprise environments, including platform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, maintenance, and production support. Strong understanding of Informatica PowerCenter architecture, including Domains, Repositories, Integration Services, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, ETL processing, and enterprise data integration concepts. Experience supporting ETL operations, workflow execution, batch processing, job scheduling, workflow troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and operational support across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. Knowledge of platform operations, including incident management, root cause analysis, production support, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, change management, release management, and environment maintenance. Experience monitoring and optimizing platform performance while maintaining operational health, system availability, and data integration reliability. Understanding of enterprise database connectivity and data integration with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, file transfer mechanisms, and enterprise applications. Ability to create and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks, SOPs, support procedures, technical documentation, and platform standards. Experience collaborating with database, infrastructure, middleware, application, and security teams to resolve technical issues and support enterprise platform operations. Basic knowledge of security administration, user access management, compliance, audit controls, governance, and enterprise change management processes. Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) or other cloud-based data integration platforms is preferred. Working knowledge of Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python for automation and operational support is preferred. Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enterprise scheduling tools, and automation frameworks is preferred. Experience supporting government, public sector, or other regulated enterprise environments with structured change management and audit requirements is highly desirable. Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform and ETL issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional technical teams and manage multiple operational priorities. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, documentation, and continuous improvement skills, along with an interest in pursuing Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, or related platform certifications.
