About This Role
USSP is seeking a Senior GIS Integration Specialist to design, integrate, and optimize enterprise-grade Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities for regulated program operations and spatial data visualization. This role focuses on seamless integration between GIS platforms, core transactional systems, and master data repositories, ensuring spatial accuracy, performance, and compliance with agency standards.
**Responsibilities** - Design and implement GIS data models that align with enterprise master data structures and regulatory program requirements - Define spatial data schemas, relationships, and metadata standards to support accurate mapping and analysis of regulated sites - Integrate GIS capabilities with existing enterprise GIS platforms and applications - Implement secure, API-based consumption of GIS services to support application workflows and data exchange - Coordinate data synchronization between GIS systems and backend databases to ensure data integrity and timeliness - Develop and optimize spatial visualizations to represent regulated sites, program boundaries, and geospatial attributes - Manage coordinate systems, projections, and spatial reference standards to ensure geospatial accuracy - Optimize map rendering and spatial query performance as data volume and user demand scale - Enforce GIS data governance standards, including validation rules, auditability, and version control - Support system testing, UAT, and production validation for GIS-enabled functionality
**Requirements** - GIS data modeling and spatial data integration experience - Integration with enterprise GIS platforms (ESRI ArcGIS / ArcGIS Server) - Spatial visualization for regulated or compliance-driven programs - API-based GIS service consumption - Coordinate system management and spatial accuracy validation - Performance optimization for map rendering and spatial queries - Experience with GeoJSON, REST-based GIS services, and Spatial SQL
**Nice to Have** - Experience supporting regulatory or compliance-driven programs - Familiarity with enterprise data architectures and master data management concepts - Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments - Public sector or large-scale enterprise system experience
